Hello and Welcome to the Newfield Elementary School Website!

My name is Miriam Arango and I am the Principal of Newfield Elementary School. We pride ourselves on our warm, welcoming atmosphere and our Responsive Classroom philosophy, which is the cornerstone of our school. Students begin their day with a Morning Meeting, which sets the tone for their academic day.

Newfield is a K-5 school and our teachers and staff are dedicated and professional. They instill a love of learning and a sense of belonging in our students. Parents are a very important part of our Newfield Family. Our PFO is a solid component of our school, always there to support our initiatives.

Our curriculum is strong and focuses most especially on the core subjects of Reading, Language Arts and Mathematics. In addition, our content areas round out the academic spectrum, and we have instruction in Music, Physical Education and Art.

Technology is highly valued at Newfield and we have 2 full computer labs as well as computers and printers in every classroom at every grade level. Our website is a source of pride and we are very happy that you have visited us today!
